NeuroKinetic Therapy – Dallas

NeuroKinetic Therapy is a neurobiomechanical method of assessing and correcting dysfunctional movement patterns that cause soft tissue imbalances. By reprogramming the motor control center in the cerebellum NKT restores proper function to muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (connective tissue) thereby eliminating pain and improving performance. NKT is an extremely diverse method practiced all over the world by a wide variety of healthcare and movement practitioners such as physical therapists, personal trainers, chiropractors, yoga & pilates instructors, athletic trainers, massage therapists, etc… .

Workshops at One Body

RockPod & RockFloss

August 24-25

Myofascial Cupping has been around since the early 19th century – only recently has the image of purple circles on professional athlete’s backs created attention to an ancient myofascial therapy.  The cups and techniques have changed over time, but the basic premise of the cups providing suction to decompress the underlying tissue remains the same.
FMT RockPods explores the science of tissue gliding, traction and decompression with easy to use myofascial cups. RockPods are one of the latest additions to the RockTape tool arsenal to better equip each clinician and therapist to deliver superior patient and client outcomes.\\
The term ‘flossing’ is commonly associated with the image of a thick rubber band wrapped around an athlete’s large muscles, however; ‘floss bands’ are an excellent tool for clinical care and a valuable tool for your patient’s and athlete’s self care programs.
FMT RockFloss explores the science of compression band flossing and fascial shearing to help improve joint mobility, reduce pain*, and enhance movement. RockFloss is the one of the latest additions to the RockTape tool arsenal to better equip each clinician, therapist or trainer to deliver superior patient and client outcomes.

Optimizing Your Golf Performance

August 31st, 9-11am

What to Expect?

You can expect to experience a practical workshop that will help you bulletproof your body against injuries, optimize your performance, and give you effective self-care strategies for athletic longevity.

Why Should I Come?

You should come for three reasons:  First, golf is competitive and you want an edge on your game.  Second, over time golf can be hard on the body and you want to stay injury free to keep playing.  Third, we all need effective self-care strategies to be able to move better, perform optimally and to maintain longevity in our games.

Unlocking Your Running Potential

September 6th, 5-7pm

What to Expect?

You can expect to experience a practical workshop that will help you understand the body mechanics of running and how your body interacts with various surfaces and impact forces.

You will come away with some effective self-care strategies to prime your body for peak performance so you can run faster, further and with less restriction.

Why Should I Come?

You should come for three reasons:  First, running optimization comes from subtle body and technique shifts and you want the edge.  Second, running is hard on the body and you want to stay injury free.  Third, we all need effective self-care strategies to be able to react faster and to have longevity.

Barefoot Training Specialist

September 7-8th, 9-5pm

Workshop Details

As the foundation to all EBFA education, the BTS Level 1 Certification sets the foundation for advanced concepts in barefoot activation, reflexive stabilization and movement efficiency.  With the foot as the only contact point between the body and the ground, this complex structure plays a critical role in the way in which our body stabilizes during dynamic movement.

In this Level 1 Certification, get ready to explore how to prep the body for movement by tapping into the nervous system with barefoot science, foot to core sequencing and reflexive stability via fascial lines.

RockTape Functional Movement Taping

October 26-27

FMT Basic Kinesiology Taping Certification (Level 1)

FMT Basic introduces the evidence based approach to taping for pain*, enhancing fluid dynamics, posture, nerve entrapment and scars. FMT Basic is an evidence-informed kinesiology taping course that redefines our understanding of the effects of elastic therapeutic taping on pain* mitigation, circulation and proprioception. FMT Basic lays the groundwork for a practical framework of ‘taping movement, not muscles’ to replace an outdated model focused on directional taping to activate or inhibit muscles.
This 8-hour certification course is intended for practitioners and therapists with all levels of experience with taping. All supplies needed for the course are provided. There are no prerequisites for FMT Basic.

FMT Performance Kinesiology Taping Certification (Level 2)

This course expands on the concepts taught in FMT Basic and explores enhancing human movement and performance via functional taping methods (movement based). The anatomy and physiology of myofascial lines are covered. Movement screening is used to determine dysfunction in specific anatomical planes of motion and how to apply tape in a manner that improves movement and function. Learning is primarily done in a workshop, hands-on environment.
This 8-hour certification course is intended for practitioners and therapists with all levels of experience with taping. All supplies needed for the course are provided. FMT Basic is a prerequisite for FMT Performance.
